The candidate must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. Alternatively, the applicant must be able to work in Australia full-time.
In addition, the applicant must have spent at least two years working in Australia. The prior experience should have been performed under supervision of a licensed professional.

Where will this certificate take you

Certificate IV in Ageing Support trains you in the role of a professional in a community and/or residential environment. You will provide person-centred support to clients who may require assistance due to age, disability, or other circumstances.

You will learn how to advocate for your clients’ interests and rights, and how to coordinate the right services and interventions for them. As a trained professional, you can deliver care services to palliative clients and clients with dementia.

This certification will prepare you for professions such as aged care team leader, home care support worker, community care worker, aged care worker, or home care planner in the elderly and community care field.
