The Certificate III in Nail Technology is required by individuals working as nail technicians who provide pedicure and manicure services. A nail technician must possess a well-developed range of skills in terms of the application of gel and acrylic nail and and enhancements. Additionally, a nail technician is responsible for their own output and must possess judgment and discretion in terms of client consultation and the application of nail care services and products. Nail technicians may work for or own a nail care company, or be self employed working within a nail salon and be responsible for the management of their own stations.
