      The Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade qualification covers a range of skills required by anyone wishing to be employed as an engineering tradesperson in the industries of manufacturing, engineering and associated fields. Competencies will including welding, sheet metal work, metal polishing, metal spinning, structural steel erecting, founding, forging and metal fabrication. You will also be trained to use related computer controlled equipment. This certification has been developed specifically with the needs of apprentices in the above trades in mind, and can also be achieved through the process of formal skills recognition assessment.
      To qualify for a RPL Certificate III, you’ll be required to provide certain pieces of documentation that prove a comparable level of competency. A letter of employment, current employment contracts and any letters of reference from licensed tradespeople you’ve worked with are valid supporting documents, as well as a resume showing a history of work in the field. Your student support representative will help you compile a CV. Any documentation of past relevant education can also assist, so any transcripts or assessment from previous qualifications can be submitted, as well as evidence of overseas qualifications if you possess them. We also welcome video or photographic evidence of your work, and can make provision for you to demonstrate your skills in the event you have insufficient documentation.
